German Payroll Specialist
Job Summary
To support a growing payroll function, the full-time remote German Payroll Specialist will manage the accurate processing of German payroll cycles, ensure data integrity, and handle statutory filings while working collaboratively with the finance team.
Key responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time for assigned cycles, ensuring compliance with all regulations
- Maintain and verify employee payroll master data, addressing any discrepancies promptly
- Conduct pre- and post-payroll validations and assist with statutory reporting and audits
Required qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in native (in-house) payroll processes for Germany
- Hands-on experience with DATEV processing
- Completed Kaufm nnische Ausbildung or Lohnbuchhalter qualification
- Working knowledge of German wage tax, social insurance, and labor law
- Fluent in German (C1/C2) and English for effective communication
