Job Summary
A company is looking for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Database Developer to support their DHS customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and create multi-layered maps
- Design and implement data conversion procedures, and conduct software and database quality control
- Collaborate with the GIS user community to determine application requirements and specifications
Required Qualifications
- Eight (8) years of experience in GIS development for law enforcement, immigration, or border security applications
- Experience in GIS concepts, computer graphics fundamentals, and relational database fundamentals
- Proficient in coding software and manipulating digital databases using GIS programming languages
- Education: BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field with GIS experience
- Must be able to obtain a DHS Background Investigation clearance
