GIS Database Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Database Developer to support their DHS customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and create multi-layered maps
• Design and implement data conversion procedures, and conduct software and database quality control
• Collaborate with the GIS user community to determine application requirements and specifications

Required Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of experience in GIS development for law enforcement, immigration, or border security applications
• Experience in GIS concepts, computer graphics fundamentals, and relational database fundamentals
• Proficient in coding software and manipulating digital databases using GIS programming languages
• Education: BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field with GIS experience
• Must be able to obtain a DHS Background Investigation clearance
