GIS Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of Fiber Management Specialists, the full-time remote GIS Manager will develop and maintain mapping records and engineering documents for Lumos's fiber network, ensuring data quality and advising on best practices for GIS and CAD technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the production and revision of mapping records to support the fiber network's development and maintenance
• Ensure successful fiber network digitization and maintain high data quality standards
• Train staff in GIS software and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on technical projects

Required qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in CAD, GIS, and the telecommunications industry
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Demonstrated experience with ESRI products, including ArcGIS and CAD systems
• Proven track record of leading teams and managing employee performance
• Experience in the fiber or telecom industry is required
