GIS Mapper Analyst

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled GIS Mapper Analyst for a remote contract position, this role will develop and maintain GIS applications, interpret engineering drawings for mapping solutions, and manage GIS-related requests while utilizing ESRI products such as ArcMap and ArcPro.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain maps and GIS applications using Python and ESRI tools for automation and spatial analysis
• Consult with internal and external groups to enhance the Transmission Asset Mapping Interface (TAMI) web application and implement process improvements
• Manage workload and GIS requests from various business units to meet project deadlines effectively

Required qualifications:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in GIS mapping and analysis
• Proficiency in ESRI products, including ArcMap, ArcPro, and ArcGIS Online
• Experience in developing GIS applications and automating workflows using Python or Arcade
• Ability to analyze engineering issues and recommend GIS-based solutions
• Experience in training and knowledge transfer on GIS tools and best practices
