GIS Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a GIS Specialist to support carbon project validation and verification through geospatial data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain audit-ready geospatial datasets and documentation for carbon projects
• Produce high-quality cartographic outputs and map products for reports and presentations
• Perform land suitability assessments using remote sensing technologies

Required Qualifications

• Experience with voluntary carbon market projects and familiarity with Verra VCS standards
• 3+ years of experience with Esri or QGIS tools focused on design and cartographic production
• Proficiency in Python or R for geospatial automation and data analysis
• Experience with Google Earth Engine for remote sensing analysis
• Basic proficiency in PostgreSQL/PostGIS
