GIS Specialist
Job Summary
To support geospatial initiatives, the full-time remote GIS Specialist will perform ortho photointerpretation and change detection analysis using LiDAR and ArcGIS Online, while also managing database development and data conversion tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct ortho photointerpretation and change detection analysis using LiDAR and ortho-derived building footprints
- Develop and implement efficient production tools and workflows in accordance with project plans
- Perform quality control on structure data and provide recommendations for process improvements
Required qualifications
- 5-7 years of GIS Analyst experience utilizing GIS principles and practices
- Knowledge of SQL scripting for data retrieval from relational database management systems
- Familiarity with ArcObjects, VBA, and Python scripting
- Experience with core ESRI GIS software products, specifically ArcGIS Desktop and ArcSDE
- Some exposure to GIS application development using technologies like ASP.NET and C#
