GIS Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Bureau of Reclamation's GIS Technical Service Support contract, the full-time GIS Specialist will perform GIS production, mapping, spatial data management, and technical support while assisting senior staff with enterprise GIS operations in a remote-eligible role.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mapping, graphics, and manage tabular data
• Assist in database design and automation related to analytical procedures
• Maintain and update geodatabases while ensuring data accuracy and adherence to output criteria

Required qualifications

• BA/BS in Geography, Natural Resources Management, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Sciences, or comparable work experience
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible GIS experience, including GIS production work using ESRI software
• Coursework in cartography and/or graphic design
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Successful completion of at least three ESRI training courses within the past two years
