GIS Specialist I
Job Summary
Supporting rural fiber projects, the full-time GIS Specialist I will create, modify, and maintain GIS designs remotely while collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate and timely mapping tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update GIS fiber network data using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS, incorporating field audits and construction drawings
- Digitize and edit vector data to meet project-specific standards and ensure spatial accuracy
- Create basic network maps and reports to support planning, permitting, and engineering phases
Required qualifications
- 1-3+ years of GIS experience with a certificate or degree in GIS, engineering, or a related field
- Proficient computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Self-driven with strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail
