GIS System Administrator
Job Summary
Supporting the United States Geological Survey, the full-time remote GIS System Administrator will provide essential assistance and maintenance of Esri applications, manage GIS workflows, and offer administrative support within Windows and Esri environments.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot Esri applications and GIS workflows
- Apply security updates and manage vulnerabilities within Windows environments
- Support configuration management practices and version control standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and 2 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Demonstrated experience resolving issues within Windows 11/Server environments
- Familiarity with Esri software and ArcGIS Enterprise components
- Experience with other GIS applications like Global Mapper or GDAL is a plus
- Strong ability to manage multiple assignments independently in a remote environment
