GIS Technician

Job Summary

To support the agricultural community, the full-time GIS Technician will create, maintain, and analyze GIS data while providing software support and developing mapping deliverables in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and edit GIS data features while ensuring accuracy through quality assurance and control
• Query GIS data and display results using maps, graphs, and tables, focusing on crop-type and yield mapping
• Act as a software support resource for internal and external users of proprietary applications and GIS solutions

Required qualifications

• BS/MS in Remote Sensing, Geography, or Data Sciences field
• Proficiency with GIS desktop software and data management
• Experience with various technology methodologies and applications
• Ability to process and analyze data effectively
• Residence in the EST Time Zone
