GIS Technician

Job Summary

Independently executing GIS projects of varying complexity, the part-time GIS Technician will develop databases, create mapping outputs, and perform quality assurance of GIS data, with the flexibility to work remotely or from the Omaha, NE office.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver GIS projects by developing databases and various mapping outputs to support reports and project deliverables
• Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes
• Prepare and maintain internal and external project documentation, including quality control documentation

Required qualifications

• High school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Experience with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and understanding of the ESRI suite of products
• Technical knowledge of geographic concepts, including spatial data management and analysis
• Ability to pass a background check as part of the hiring process
