Global QC Labs Application Engineer

Job Summary

As the Subject Matter Expert in laboratory systems, the full-time Global QC Labs Application Engineer will manage system administration, maintenance, and enhancements for laboratory systems in a regulated environment, ensuring compliance and efficiency while working onsite in Sanford, NC with potential for hybrid flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and act as the first point of contact for key users in QC labs regarding lab systems
• Administer and maintain lab systems, including user management and system integration to enhance data flow and business processes
• Conduct training sessions for users and monitor system performance to identify and implement optimizations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant biotech area (e.g., pharmaceutical or biotechnology)
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the scientific IT area, preferably in pharma/biotech environments
• Mandatory experience with Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and Scientific Data Management Systems (SDMS)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and computer systems validation (CSV) according to GAMP 5 principles
• Experience in defining user stories and conducting impact analysis for system upgrades
