Job Summary
Providing strategic legal guidance, the full-time salaried Global Trade Counsel will advise on export controls, economic sanctions, customs compliance, and international trade regulations while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor on global trade matters, providing practical advice on compliance with U.S. and international laws
- Support the preparation and management of export license applications and advise on customs classification and import compliance requirements
- Develop and improve global trade compliance policies, conduct risk assessments, and deliver training to ensure understanding of trade requirements across the organization
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree; active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction preferred
- 15+ years of experience in international trade, export controls, and customs compliance, preferably in a multinational technology or manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated expertise in U.S. trade laws including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC sanctions
- Practical experience with export classifications, licensing, and trade compliance investigations
- Strong understanding of trade requirements as they relate to product development and supply chain operations
