Globus Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the implementation and operationalization of the Globus Managed File Transfer platform, the contract Globus Platform Engineer will work remotely to deploy Globus Connect Server, configure data transfer workflows, and provide operational support while ensuring compliance with security standards.
Key responsibilities
- Complete Globus Connect Server deployment and configure storage gateways and data transfer workflows
- Manage large-scale, secure data transfers and maintain platform health while optimizing performance
- Collaborate with internal teams to establish operational processes and deliver documentation for long-term ownership
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with the Globus platform (GCS v5, endpoints, collections)
- Strong knowledge of GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, networking)
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and scripting (Bash)
- Understanding of GridFTP and high-throughput data transfers
- Experience in MFT or large-scale data transfer environments
