Golang Engineer - Open Source

Job Summary

To support open source initiatives, a remote contract Golang Engineer - Open Source will collaborate with the community to design and implement features, maintain code quality, and review pull requests, averaging 25-35 hours of work per week.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the open source community to design and implement innovative features for OpenTofu and other tools
• Maintain and improve the quality of codebases, infrastructure, and documentation
• Review and provide feedback on pull requests from community members and team colleagues

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, specifically with Golang
• Proven experience with open source projects, ideally in a leadership role
• Familiarity with building cloud infrastructure and security best practices
• Extensive experience with OpenTofu/Terraform, including authoring modules and operating in production
• Ability to work asynchronously with a remote team and manage complex projects effectively
