Google Cloud Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Data & AI organization, the full-time remote Google Cloud Data Engineer will design, build, and optimize clean, reliable datasets while transforming enterprise master data into production-grade structures for analytics and data science models.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a scalable semantic layer using Google Cloud applications like BigQuery and Dataform
- Standardize metadata and documentation to optimize data for generative AI models
- Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to create intuitive reporting tables and ensure data quality
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with a focus on production data pipelines
- Expert-level SQL proficiency and experience with Google BigQuery and Google Cloud Storage
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and scripting
- Strong ability to translate technical data requirements to non-technical stakeholders
