Job Summary
Focused on implementing and managing database solutions, the full-time Google Cloud Database Administrator will provide operational support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance of cloud-based database systems while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain enterprise database technology deployed in the cloud, including Microsoft SQL Server and other platforms
- Monitor database performance and capacity, collaborating with application teams to resolve issues
- Develop and optimize Google BigQuery datasets and manage security, backups, and automated jobs
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in database administration in a cloud-based enterprise environment
- Administrative knowledge of Active Directory and database security
- Experience with Google Cloud services, including BigQuery and Cloud SQL
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools
- Familiarity with AI agents and intelligent automation solutions for database operations
