GovCloud Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of a secure and compliant government cloud data infrastructure, the full-time remote GovCloud Data Infrastructure Engineer will design and implement AWS GovCloud architecture, establish PostgreSQL database platforms, and create infrastructure-as-code solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and build AWS GovCloud infrastructure, ensuring security compliance and operational efficiency across multiple environments
• Establish and optimize PostgreSQL database infrastructure, including performance tuning and security hardening
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Chef, creating automation frameworks for server provisioning and configuration management

Required qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and operations, with at least 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience
• Strong PostgreSQL administration experience, including performance tuning and high availability setup
• Proven experience with Chef for infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
• Eligibility for government security clearance or ability to obtain one
