Job Summary
To support the finance team, the full-time remote GovCon Accountant will manage full-cycle accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger maintenance, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and federal government contracting regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and client billings, ensuring proper project allocations and compliance with contract types
- Maintain the corporate general ledger, prepare journal entries, and support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist in tracking and reporting direct and indirect costs, ensuring compliance with FAR and CAS regulations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-3 years of full-cycle accounting experience in a GovCon environment
- Experience with PROCAS or similar GovCon accounting software
- Knowledge of GAAP, FAR, and DCAA compliance requirements
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas
