Governance and Controls Lead

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Governance and Controls Lead (VP) to work full-time in a remote capacity, responsible for fortifying the control environment for data transfers, driving issue resolution, and shaping governance frameworks within the Data Transfer Office.

Key responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain robust control mechanisms to align with evolving regulations
• Lead the analysis of control deficiencies and develop comprehensive remediation plans
• Contribute to the continuous development of operational and governance models to enhance consistency and mitigate risks

Required qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in Risk Management, Control Assurance, or Data Governance within a global financial institution
• Deep understanding of international data privacy laws and cross-border regulatory requirements
• Expertise in designing and monitoring risk and control frameworks
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global organization
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; relevant certifications are advantageous
