Job Summary
Supporting the Government Affairs team, the remote Associate, Government Affairs will track legislative and regulatory developments, draft summaries, and communicate business impacts of new laws while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on state policy and legislative matters, tracking newly proposed and effective laws and regulations
- Prepare clear and concise summaries and analyses of legislative and regulatory changes to assist with company implementation
- Present priority legislative and regulatory policy developments to internal audiences and support sustainable processes for high-quality deliverables
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in legal studies, political science, public policy, public administration, public health, or a related field
- 3+ years of legal or regulatory experience, preferably in the health plan/managed care sector
- 2+ years of experience with state political and legislative processes
- 2+ years of experience using Westlaw, legislative tracking software, and Google Workspace
