Job Summary
To support the company's growth initiatives, the fully remote Government Affairs Manager will manage legislative strategies, oversee lobbying efforts, and build state-level relationships to enhance school safety, corrections, and municipal security.
Key responsibilities
- Manage retained lobbyists and lobbying firms, monitoring state legislation and policy related to safety and security
- Develop and execute state and local procurement strategies while engaging with agency leaders to foster relationships
- Collaborate with sales teams to align legislative activities with sales opportunities and represent the company at industry events
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in government affairs, lobbying, or public policy
- Strong understanding of legislative processes and state-level procurement
- Experience building relationships with government agencies and advocacy groups
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and priorities effectively
