Government Engagement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Deputy, Government and Policy Engagement, APAC.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with government agencies and stakeholders on the use of Verra Programs, focusing on the Asia-Pacific region
• Engage with governments to strengthen coordination and support the implementation of the Mutual Recognition Agreement
• Provide capacity building on Verra's REDD methodology and represent the organization at local and regional events

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a standards organization, NGO, or governmental agency
• A relevant university degree; a master's degree is advantageous
• Deep understanding of climate change mitigation and carbon methodologies
• Experience working with government bodies and connections with local stakeholders
• Strong project management and organizational skills
