Government Relations Director

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Government Relations Director, this remote position will manage relationships with approximately 300 government agencies, direct lobbyists, and craft strategies to foster cooperative interactions with governmental bodies.

Key responsibilities:

• Engage regularly with various government agencies to facilitate communication and collaboration
• Oversee and direct the efforts of lobbyists to align with organizational goals
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives for effective government relations

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience in building and leading an internal government relations team
• Strong advocacy skills with a track record of maintaining relationships with legislators and regulators
• In-depth knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes, including policy-making mechanics
• Ability to formulate long-term policy strategies and execute advocacy plans
• Experience in leading multi-state legislative or regulatory policy campaigns
