Job Summary
Responsible for managing travel arrangements for government clients, the full-time Government Travel Consultant will utilize a GDS system to book domestic and complex international itineraries, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain compliance with federal travel regulations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Book and issue airline, hotel, car, and other reservations using Sabre, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Communicate with clients to determine travel needs and provide quotes for international travel, while adhering to company policies
- Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity and service quality, maintaining consistent attendance and adherence to the schedule
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 2 years of experience booking domestic and international travel, with a focus on government clients
- Proficiency in using a GDS system, specifically Sabre; Amadeus experience is a plus
- Understanding of federal travel regulations, including the Fly America Act and Open Skies Agreement
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite and the ability to navigate multiple applications simultaneously
