Job Summary
Responsible for all aspects of travel management for government clients, the full-time Government Travel Consultant will communicate with customers to determine travel needs and book domestic and complex international itineraries using a GDS system while ensuring compliance with federal travel regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage client communications to arrange new travel plans or modify existing itineraries
- Utilize Sabre to accurately book and issue airline, hotel, car, and other reservations
- Provide travel expertise and maintain knowledge of federal travel regulations and client preferences
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 2 years of experience booking domestic and international travel, with a focus on government clients
- Proficiency in using a GDS system, specifically Sabre
- Strong understanding of federal travel regulations, including the Fly America Act and Open Skies Agreement
- Ability to successfully pass a government clearance process and background checks
