Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter to evaluate and approve government-backed mortgage loans.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze loan applications, credit reports, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Review loan-to-value (LTV) and debt-to-income (DTI) ratios to assess borrower creditworthiness
• Maintain knowledge of government lending guidelines and collaborate with internal teams for a smooth loan experience

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of FHA, VA, and USDA underwriting guidelines
• Knowledge of conventional mortgage products and investor requirements
• Proficiency in mortgage loan origination systems (Encompass preferred)
• Ability to work independently while aligning with team objectives
