Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Mortgage Underwriter (Southeast).

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA and VA loans, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Communicate regularly with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan statuses
• Assist with training and support for other mortgage positions as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of government underwriting experience
• Valid CHUMS and/or LAPP/Sar designation to underwrite FHA and VA loans
• Recent experience with USDA and Bond underwriting preferred
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
