Government Underwriter with DE/SAR

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter (Wholesale).

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA and VA loans, as well as other loan types including Conventional, Bond, and USDA
• Communicate regularly with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan status and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist with training for other mortgage positions and manage underwriting resources effectively

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of specific government underwriting experience
• Valid CHUMS and/or LAPP/Sar designation for FHA and VA loan underwriting
• Recent experience with underwriting Conventional loans
• Demonstrated knowledge of DU and LP systems
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
