Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the GPU Consultant Engineer will build open source graphics drivers, contribute to the Vulkan driver stack, and solve complex GPU-related problems impacting the Linux ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute directly to Mesa and the Linux DRM subsystem by writing Vulkan driver code for global distribution
- Debug GPU behavior and reverse engineer hardware quirks to resolve rendering issues
- Collaborate with the open source graphics community and represent the company at conferences
Required qualifications
- Solid understanding of Vulkan, including command buffers, memory management, and pipelines
- Basic understanding of GPU hardware concepts and Linux kernel navigation
- Familiarity with DRM fundamentals such as buffer management and GPU job submission paths
- Awareness of Mesa architecture and driver structure
- Proficiency in C and C++, with experience in kernel-style coding
