Graduate Research Assistant

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and motivated, the part-time hourly Graduate Research Assistant will assist with clinical content coding for an NCI-funded project examining racial healthcare disparities in cancer genetic counseling, working remotely under the guidance of experienced researchers.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in coding clinical content from cancer genetic counseling sessions to document discussions between genetic counselors and patients
• Collaborate with project leads to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of clinical topics
• Manage coding tasks efficiently, completing approximately 200 to 250 hours of work by the project deadline

Required qualifications:

• Completion of at least one rotation in a cancer genetic counseling setting as part of an ACGC-accredited MS Genetic Counseling program
• Proven dependability and reliability in previous roles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
• Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms, such as Zoom
