Grant Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Grant Accountant to serve as the primary liaison between conservation programs and the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of project operations, revenues, expenditures, and grant compliance requirements
• Assist in budgeting for proposals and preparing financial reports for funders
• Monitor project expenses and ensure alignment with grant requirements and budgets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Understanding of nonprofit grant accounting functions
• Prior experience in administering federal and state grants is a plus
• Knowledge of applicable federal regulations (FAR, OMB Circulars, and AIDAR)
