Grant Officer

Job Summary

To support a growing conservation initiative, the full-time remote Grant Officer will manage the research, writing, and submission of competitive proposals to secure funding from institutional donors while cultivating relationships to expand the organization's funding network.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of compelling grant proposals and reports to various funding sources
• Research and identify new funding opportunities, maintaining a pipeline aligned with organizational priorities
• Coordinate complex submissions, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and organizational standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marine biology, conservation, or a related field, with 5+ years of grant writing experience
• Proven track record of securing large grants ($250,000+) and writing successful proposals for institutional funders
• Experience in marine conservation and familiarity with relevant ecosystems and communities
• Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and effective fundraising communication techniques
• Spanish language proficiency is highly preferred
