Job Summary
To support the mission of empowering under-resourced small business owners, the part-time contract Grant Writer will research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals while collaborating with program staff and maintaining organizational assets remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Research, write, edit, and submit persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports that convey TAP's mission and impact
- Collaborate with program staff, finance, and leadership to gather necessary data and financial information for proposals
- Track deadlines and submission schedules to ensure timely completion of proposals and reports via grant tracking system
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of proven grant writing experience with a strong track record of securing funding for nonprofit organizations
- Demonstrated success with foundation, corporate, and/or government grants
- Experience using funder research tools such as Foundation Directory Online or Grants.gov
- Familiarity with economic development, small business support, or capacity-building work preferred
