Job Summary
To support the School of Medicine's research initiatives, the remote Grants and Contracts Administrator will manage the full lifecycle of sponsored projects, including pre-award proposal preparation and post-award budget reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with university and agency guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Assist faculty in developing, preparing, and submitting grant and contract proposals, ensuring compliance with guidelines and deadlines
- Manage assigned project budgets, perform detailed reconciliations, and prepare complex budget reports to meet project goals
- Monitor compliance with agency and university regulations throughout the lifecycle of grants and contracts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; research or grants education and/or certification is preferred
- No prior experience is required for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree directly related to the position
- Successful completion of the Research Administration Academy (RAA) Onboarding Training within the first 90 days is mandatory
- Pre-award and post-award experience is preferred
- Knowledge of federal rules and regulations relating to research grant and/or contract activity is essential
