Grants Consultant - Scientific Research

Job Summary

To support higher education clients engaged in scientific research, the part-time Grants Consultant - Scientific Research will manage grant proposal development, revise narratives for competitiveness, and conduct grantsmanship trainings, all while working remotely on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Review and revise STEM and health science-focused proposal narratives to enhance competitiveness
• Collaborate with clients to develop strong grant proposals from inception to submission
• Provide professional consultative services throughout the grant writing process

Required qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in reviewing, revising, and consulting on proposals to federal funding agencies
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM-related discipline preferred; Ph.D. is a plus
• Experience writing and researching for a scientific audience
• Strong interest in grant writing and fundraising strategy
• Familiarity with LaTeX/Overleaf software tools is preferred
