Grants Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Grants Manager to oversee pre- and post-award activities related to sponsored project grants in the Department of Molecular Biology.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare applications and budgets for federal and private granting agencies
• Manage post-award activities and facilitate communication with sponsors and PIs
• Produce financial forecasts and monitor expenditures for faculty lab groups

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent; background in biological sciences is helpful
• Minimum 5 years of grants experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, and Word
• Understanding of accounting basics
• Experience with sponsored academic research awards at the pre- or post-award stage
