Job Summary
Supporting the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the full-time remote Grants Support Specialist will manage grant applications, monitor awards, and ensure compliance throughout the grant lifecycle while working Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm Eastern Time.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct administrative checks and validate application data within the Electronic Grants Management System (eGMS)
- Prepare funding recommendation spreadsheets and draft monitoring recommendations to assist federal staff decision-making
- Log Grants to States (G2S) reports and submit weekly and monthly status reports for assigned IMLS grant offices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Minimum of two years of experience processing grant applications and monitoring awards for a federal government agency
- Six months of hands-on experience using eGMS or similar systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Knowledge of federal grant-making processes
