Job Summary

Supporting the mission of a community health organization, the full-time Grants Writer will manage the grant application process, collaborate with various departments, and generate proposals to secure funding for programs, primarily working in a remote capacity while based in California.

Key responsibilities
  • Researches and solicits funding from various sources, including foundations and government entities
  • Generates and submits grant proposals and reports, ensuring accurate and relevant information is included
  • Builds inter-departmental relationships to identify and develop programs suitable for grant funding
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in public health or a related field; master's degree preferred
  • Three years of grant writing experience required; five years preferred
  • Experience in healthcare organizations serving medically underserved populations preferred
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with foundation and corporate partners
  • Proficient knowledge of the grant writing process and organizational needs
