Job Summary
Supporting the mission of a community health organization, the full-time Grants Writer will manage the grant application process, collaborate with various departments, and generate proposals to secure funding for programs, primarily working in a remote capacity while based in California.
Key responsibilities
- Researches and solicits funding from various sources, including foundations and government entities
- Generates and submits grant proposals and reports, ensuring accurate and relevant information is included
- Builds inter-departmental relationships to identify and develop programs suitable for grant funding
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health or a related field; master's degree preferred
- Three years of grant writing experience required; five years preferred
- Experience in healthcare organizations serving medically underserved populations preferred
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with foundation and corporate partners
- Proficient knowledge of the grant writing process and organizational needs
