Job Summary
Supporting the VA Office of Academic Affiliations, the part-time Graphic Designer with Accessibility Compliance will design and implement accessible and visually appealing user interfaces for applications, ensuring compliance with Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.0 standards while collaborating with developers in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement accessible, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces for OAA applications and platforms
- Create user-centered designs using Bootstrap, jQuery, and centralized CSS files
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate designs within the .NET Core C# and Power Platform environment
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field
- Four (4) or more years of experience as a graphic designer focusing on user-centered design and accessibility
- Proficiency in Bootstrap, jQuery, and centralized CSS files
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Demonstrated experience designing to Section 508 / WCAG 2.0 AA standards
