Greek Language Instructor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Greek Language Instructor to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional foreign language instruction in classroom and virtual settings, tailored to student needs
• Utilize proficiency-oriented teaching methods and culturally-based materials to enhance language acquisition
• Incorporate diverse instructional technologies and engage students in higher-order thinking skills

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least two years of relevant teaching experience in proficiency-oriented methods
• Four years of relevant teaching experience may substitute for education requirements
• Native speaker of the target language with strong English language skills; near-native proficiency may be accepted with documentation
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate varying student learning styles
• Oral Proficiency Interview scores of Level 3 or above in the target language and Level 2 or above in English on the ILR scale
