Job Summary

Seeking a remote contract Grid and Energy Systems Expert, this role will review and validate AI-generated energy systems work, apply practitioner judgment to client problems, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance workflow accuracy and output quality.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate AI-generated energy systems work, including contingency assessments and power flow studies
• Apply practitioner judgment to assess physical feasibility and trade-offs in real client scenarios
• Collaborate with engineering and domain teams to improve workflow accuracy and produce operational analyses as needed

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in transmission planning, power systems engineering, or utility systems
• Ability to articulate the reasoning behind decisions, including trade-offs and constraints
• Strong written communication skills suitable for asynchronous workflows
• Comfort with AI-generated outputs and a proactive approach to improving them
• Preference for flexible, contract-based engagements
