Grief Support Volunteer

Job Summary

Compassionate individuals will find a rewarding opportunity as Grief Support Volunteers on the LOSS Team, providing in-person support to families bereaved by suicide in the Cape Cod area, with training and supervision provided to ensure preparedness in this part-time volunteer role.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate, in-person emotional support to individuals and families experiencing acute grief
• Connect bereaved individuals with community resources to aid in their healing process
• Normalize grief and foster a sense of hope during challenging times

Required qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license required
• Completion of a CORI background check
• Located within reasonable proximity to the Cape Cod service area
