Group Underwriter I

Job Summary

Providing Rating & Underwriting services to the Sales team, the full-time Group Underwriter I will develop renewal rates for group sizes 51+, manage a book of business, and analyze metrics to determine appropriate rate levels in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develops and issues renewal rates for group sizes 51+
• Manages a book of business independently, providing recommendations to Sales
• Analyzes account-specific metrics and marketplace data to determine rate levels

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Minimum one (1) year of business experience, preferably in an insurance environment
• Prefer knowledge of underwriting principles and rating methodology
• Proficiency in MS Office products and Windows-based applications
• Excellent math abilities, assessed through interview and/or testing
