GWTG Stroke Abstractor

Job Summary

Seeking experienced GWTG Stroke Abstractors, the full-time or part-time remote position will focus on accurately collecting and abstracting data from patient medical records related to stroke care, ensuring data integrity, and adhering to clinical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Collects and abstracts data from patient medical records, specifically regarding stroke diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of abstracted data by cross-referencing multiple sources within medical records
• Adheres to clinical data abstraction guidelines and participates in quality assurance processes to maintain data integrity

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent GWTG STK and/or CSTK abstraction experience
• Ability to independently abstract cases using registry specifications and clinical documentation
• Strong understanding of healthcare quality reporting and medical record interpretation
• Experience working with multiple EHRs, registry platforms, and data collection systems
• Contractors must have high-speed secure internet and a PC or laptop with at least two monitors
