Job Summary
Providing essential administrative support for habeas work, the part-time Habeas Project Coordinator will manage data entry, coordinate volunteer efforts, and assist with various administrative tasks remotely for 5-15 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain updated habeas records in the case database, including data entry and document organization
- Provide administrative support for the volunteer placement process, including communication with volunteers and managing documentation
- Assist with recruitment and reengagement efforts for habeas volunteers and support interpretation/translation matching efforts
Required qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- 2-3 years of office-based administrative experience, preferably involving database work
- Commitment to the mission of the Immigration Justice Campaign and the American Immigration Council
- Knowledge of data entry best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with volunteers via email and phone
