Job Summary

To support diverse communication needs, the part-time Hakka-Taiwan Interpreter will conduct on-demand phone interpretation between Hakka-Taiwan and English speakers remotely, ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity across various industries.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to interpreting sessions and conduct interpretation in a professional manner
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols
• Maintain a professional demeanor and cultural sensitivity throughout all interpreting sessions

Required qualifications

• Fluency in Hakka-Taiwan and English, with an understanding of cultural dynamics
• Education or work experience in language-related fields such as teaching, translation, or interpretation preferred
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills for accurate interpretation
• Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
