HAP Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HAP Specialist to support the submission of vouchers and troubleshoot voucher issues for assigned properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares and submits vouchers and completes special claims
• Provides customer service to vendors, contractors, and coworkers regarding property requests and payments
• Prepares, interprets, and presents financial statements for senior management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or similar work experience required
• At least 3+ years of affordable housing experience
• Ability to review and interpret federal, state, and local housing regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Yardi software, RealPage, and HUD Web Access security system
• Expert knowledge of HUD subsidized housing programs, specifically the Housing Choice Voucher program
