HashiCorp Vault Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting a major corporate divestiture, the full-time HashiCorp Vault Engineer will migrate Vault from the parent organization, design and implement secure policies, and build necessary automation for independent platform operation in a remote, 6-month contract role.

Key responsibilities

• Manage secrets using Vault for centralized control of static and dynamic secrets
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and ongoing administration of Vault instances
• Define and manage access control through Vault policies and role-based access controls

Required qualifications

• Strong experience with HashiCorp Vault and Terraform for infrastructure management
• Proficiency in configuring authentication methods such as Active Directory and Kubernetes
• Experience integrating Vault into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with deploying Vault on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of networking and security fundamentals, including firewalls and PKI
