Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective chart reviews to enhance clinical documentation completeness
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding trends and Medicare regulations
• Communicate effectively with providers to clarify documentation requirements and improve clinical documentation

Required Qualifications

• RN License (BSN Required) OR Medical Degree
• CCDS or CDIP certification or willingness to obtain within 6 to 12 months
• 5+ years of acute care hospital clinical RN experience OR Medical Graduate with CDI experience and certification
• 3+ years of CDI experience in an acute care hospital
